NOTE: The anthem is 'Behold I bring you glad tidings' by Joseph Stephenson. On 11 Dec. 1788 John M'Culloch of Philadelphia advertised this as one of three anthems he had for sale. (See No. 479, Sundry Anthems, no copies of which have been located.) Evans assigned the piece a separate number as Song of the Angels (E21467). The issue described here is not the one M'Culloch had for sale: he advertised his as 'typographically printed,' and this is engraved.
