We are attempting to give the reader the experience of purchasing a tunebook at a print shop /bookshop at the time of each book's printing. As much of the original presentation as is possible has been retained, including the size of the book. If content is altered, a comment will be placed in the appendix by the book editor(s).
The note heads of the songs have been modified to shapes to facilitate the learning and singing of the music. For those unfamiliar with this type of musical sight reading, a “Shape Note Singing School” video can be found on this website.
