WHEELER GILLET
Wheeler Gillet (fl. Baltimore, ca. 1807-10 and Winchester, Va., 1817) was a singing master and schoolteacher. 'Gillet and Skelton's Academy,' apparently a common school, is listed in the Baltimore city directory of 1807; in 1810 Gillet is listed alone as a 'teacher of sacred music.' He later brought out The Virginia Sacred Minstrel (Winchester, 1817).
Baltimore Dir., 1807-10.
