THE ESSEX HARMONY, PART II, 1802
The title and front matter claim this work as a continuation of Jacob Kimball's The Essex Harmony (Salem, 1800), q.v. However, there is no evidence that Kimball had a hand in compiling or publishing it.

Copyright granted, 25 Dec. 1802, District of Massachusetts, to Josiah [recte, Joshua] Cushing as proprietor (Mass. 1:147-48). p. [i], t-p.; p. [ii], notice 'To The Public'; p. [iii]-viii, 'Concise Introduction To The Art Of Singing'; p. [1]-99, music; p. [100], 'Index.' 'The First Part of the Essex Harmony (being solely the work of Mr. Kimball) has been well received by amateurs, as an attempt to improve the style of music in this country. The following has the same object of improvement in view, at the same time that, being derived from various sources, it affords a greater variety than can be expected from a single author. The selection has been made with much care; a number of the pieces which are not original were never before published in America.' (Extract from notice To The Public.)
